Celebrating Three Months of Barney’s Resilience

Today marks three months since our beloved Barney first fell ill—a journey filled with uncertainty, worry, and countless trips to the vet. From a sudden stroke to autoimmune challenges, kidney failure, and even an unfortunate habit of eating rocks (yes, you read that right), Barney has been through it all. But today, we celebrate.

We are beyond grateful that Barney is now strong enough to walk to the field, overseeing this spring’s farm work with his usual wisdom and watchful eye. Seeing him back in his element reminds us of the resilience of nature, the power of care, and the love we share with our four-legged family members.

A huge thank you to Dr. Babcock and the incredible doctors and staff at Red Barn Veterinary Hospital—your dedication and expertise gave us more time with the dog who, in truth, adopted us. Barney’s road to recovery has been anything but easy, but we cherish every single day we get to spend with him.

Here’s to many more days of sunshine, farm adventures, and the unwavering spirit of a dog who simply refuses to give up. We love you, Barney!
